This is a Java tour package, trip to Cetho Temple at the peak of Mount Lawu near Solo; an inspiring sunrise of Dieng plateau, the Buddhist Temple of Borobudur and the graceful Prambanan Temple, truly an experience to the rich culture and nature of Central Java.
Day 1: Arrival Jogjakarta - Solo (L)
Upon arrival in Jogja Airport, directly drive to Solo and for direction of Mount Lawu. In this mountain lies the remote Cetho Temple, stand gracefully at the highest point of the area, with the sky as the background. The road to Cetho Temple is rich with tea plantations and on the way you can stop anytime to interact with the people. Just a short drive from Cetho, lies Sukuh Temple that has distinctive thematic reliefs from other temples, where life before birth and sexual education are its main theme. Depending on the day of arrival as well as time of arrival, a stop can be added to Sangiran archaeological excavation site and its archaelogical museum with extensive displays and impressive dioramas of the Sangiran area as it was believed to be around 1 million years ago.
Overnight in Solo.
Day 2: Solo - Wonosobo (BL)
Start the day by making a stroll to an antique market, then to the opulent Mangkunegaran Palace with its gilded pavilions, lush gardens, fountains and cool mosaic tiled corridors.
After this drive to Wonosobo passing along a valley that dissects Mount Merbabu to Mount Merapi to the south - one of the tour's most spectacular route. The views around the village of Ketep are awe inspiring as these two gigantic volcanoes cram you in from either side.
Overnight in Wonosobo.
Day 3: Dieng - Borobudur - Jogjakarta (BL)
Wake up in the early morning for a drive passing 3,000 meter peaks to the awe inspiring sunrise of Dieng Plateau. This mystical location has been a Hindu centre of worship since the 7th century and the temples here are Java’s oldest. Pilgrims travel from across the archipelago to pay their respects at the various temples dotted across the plateau. Also visit Telaga Warna (colourful lake) within the area.
In the afternoon arrive at Borobudur Temple, one of the world's most famous temple standing majestic and serene on a hillock overlooking lush green fields and distant hills. The shrine is the most complete Buddhist reliefs.
Driver to Jogjakarta for overnight.
In the evening, you could have sightseeing in the city and visit Malioboro street where vendors sell souveneirs and many kinds of local home industries products.
Day 4: Jogjakarta - Departure (BL)
On this day visit Jogjakarta Sultan Palace "Kraton" which is built in grand elegant Javanese architectural style, lies in the centre of the municipality. Next to the Kraton is the Taman Sari water castle, once a bathing pool for the King and his wives.
Visit a local home industry of "batik", traditional cloth painting. After lunch visit one of the highlights of Jogjakarta, which is the Prambanan Temple. it is a 9th century Hindu Temple compound dedicated to the Trimurti, the expression of God as the Creator, the Sustainer and the Destroyer. It is the largest Hindu temple in Indonesia, and is one of the largest in Southeast Asia. Also visit the close-by Sewu Temple that is located in the same complex.
Transfer to airport for your departure to Bali or to next destination.
